Schiphol Airport Wins International Website Award


Schiphol Airport has won the golden award for best airport website 2008. The yearly prize is awarded by Flightglobal.com to the website that demonstrates a richness and depth of information for travelers and visitors, including facilities information, media resources and airline information. The new Schiphol website runs on GX WebManager since June 2008.

The Schiphol website was launched last year and features an interactive interface for airport facilities including shopping, eating, relaxation and offers different airport tours depending on your time available between connecting flights. The judges liked: “easy-to-use site containing a wealth of well-organized useful information. Multi-language options make it friendly to the international traveler. Tour options are interesting and innovative – pick how much time you have and what your interests are and create a personalized tour of the airport to pass the time. A huge amount of effort has obviously gone into making the whole airport experience a bit less unpleasant for travelers.”
